Terms of Service and Dataset License

Prepared terms revision dated October 10, 2026. DataVault is an unregistered founder project operated by Gonzalo Javier Corral Marchan. Operator and payment-platform eligibility must be confirmed before paid launch. Support, privacy and transaction questions: gonzalojcorralm@gmail.com. These terms apply to business and professional research use of the marketplace.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18, provide accurate account information, and have authority to act for your business. Keep credentials private. Seller payouts currently support US businesses with an eligible, verified Stripe account. Stripe may impose additional country, verification or service restrictions.

Seller rights and prohibited data

You must own or have permission to process, license and sell the data. Do not upload personal, sensitive or confidential information you cannot lawfully disclose, even if you expect cleaning to remove it. Personal health records, government identifiers, payment-card details, passwords, individual tracking records and illegally obtained data are prohibited. Do not attempt to circumvent review or encryption checks. Sellers remain responsible for accuracy, provenance and rights to every record.

Processing, review and verification

Accepted CSV or JSON tables are normalized and reviewed with Google Gemini, then encrypted for storage. AI can make mistakes and redaction can miss identifiers. Inspect the entire cleaned file and the listing before publishing. Verification means a business document was reviewed; it does not certify the data, license rights, anonymity, legal compliance or accuracy. DataVault may reject, suspend or remove listings and investigate reports.

Auctions and card authorization

Auctions run for one, two or three days after the seller is verified. Bids must meet the starting price and increase the top bid by at least $10 or 5% rounded up to a whole dollar, whichever is greater. A bid authorizes your card immediately. The highest valid funded bid meeting the secret reserve is selected and charged automatically after the deadline. Automatic settlement runs hourly and normally completes within one hour after bidding closes; payment checks or outages can cause longer delays. The seller may accept the highest funded bid earlier. A timed auction without an eligible funded winner closes without a sale. Expired, canceled or failed authorizations cannot win. A bid commits you to payment if selected; contact support promptly for a genuine error. Unused authorizations are canceled, but your bank determines when the hold disappears.

Prices, fees and taxes

Prices and card charges are in USD. DataVault deducts a 5% platform fee from the successful sale; the remaining 95% transfers to the seller’s Stripe balance before any separate account, currency or payout costs. The platform pays Stripe processing fees from its gross fee, so the platform fee is not net profit. Applicable taxes and reporting obligations remain the responsibility of the party required by law; the site does not currently calculate or add taxes automatically. No clause transfers a statutory obligation away from DataVault.

Payment, delivery and payouts

This is card authorization followed by capture and Stripe Connect transfer, not an escrow service. Buyer download access is granted only after successful capture and recorded settlement. Find purchased files in the buyer dashboard; transaction email notifications are not currently provided. Downloads are time-limited, and new links may be requested from the dashboard. Stripe and the seller’s bank control balance availability, verification, reserves, payout schedules and payout timing. Payments may be delayed, reviewed, disputed or reversed. DataVault does not promise a bank payout date.

License granted by the seller

On completed payment, the seller grants the buyer a nonexclusive, worldwide license to use the purchased dataset internally for business analysis, professional research, model development and aggregate reports. The seller retains ownership and may license the data again. Do not resell or redistribute raw records, disclose them publicly, identify or contact individuals, use the dataset unlawfully, or represent seller trademarks as your own. You may share access with employees or contractors bound by equivalent restrictions, for the licensed purpose. The license does not grant rights the seller does not possess.

Problems, refunds and disputes

Report non-delivery, corruption, privacy concerns or a material mismatch with the listing to gonzalojcorralm@gmail.com, including the purchase ID and evidence. Report promptly, preferably within seven days; this request does not shorten mandatory legal rights. The seller or DataVault may issue a full refund when appropriate. A refund reverses the seller transfer and platform fee, terminates the dataset license, and blocks future downloads. The buyer must stop using and delete retained copies after a refunded purchase; DataVault cannot erase files already downloaded. Disputes and chargebacks may suspend access while investigated. Refund arrival is controlled by Stripe and the card issuer. Change-of-mind requests are assessed individually, subject to applicable mandatory rights.

Responsibility and mandatory rights

The service and automated descriptions are provided subject to the limits stated above. DataVault does not promise uninterrupted availability, guaranteed earnings or suitability of a dataset for a particular project. Each party is responsible for its own unlawful use or misrepresentation. Nothing excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not permit a contract to exclude. These terms do not impose binding private arbitration or override mandatory consumer or privacy law. Contact support first to attempt to resolve a dispute; unresolved disputes remain subject to the jurisdiction and law determined by applicable rules.

Suspension and changes

We may suspend accounts or listings for suspected unlawful activity, misleading information, privacy complaints, security issues, failed verification or payment disputes. Suspension does not erase statutory rights or settled payment obligations. Material term changes will be dated and require renewed agreement before new transactions. The terms recorded with a bid govern that purchase.
